The structure of this hammock is made of eucalyptus, a hard exotic wood from responsible plantations in Uruguay. Resistant and perfectly suited for outdoor use, it is coated with a tinted oil that protects it while maintaining a shade close to raw wood.

Daily maintenance

Before first use, wipe the structure with a cloth to remove any oil residue. Over time, some cracks may appear on the eucalyptus: this is normal and adds to the authentic charm of this living wood.

For regular maintenance:

Remove dust daily

Clean stains with soapy water and a sponge

Twice a year (spring and late summer), thoroughly clean the furniture, let it dry completely, then apply a thin layer of oil, making sure it will not rain within the next 24 hours

If the wood has been heavily exposed to rain and shows swollen fibers or a rough appearance, lightly sand with fine sandpaper before reapplying oil to restore its original color. Without regular maintenance, eucalyptus will naturally age to a beautiful silver tone, but will no longer be protected against stains and weather.

Usage tips

To preserve your hammock, store the fabric when not in use and winterize the structure in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from humidity.
