These chairs are oil-impregnated during manufacturing. Depending on the wood species used, a slight residue may remain: remember to remove it with a cloth before first use. For new furniture, no additional treatment is necessary until the end of summer.

Eucalyptus being a living material, its appearance naturally evolves over time. Some cracks may appear, which is normal and adds to the authentic charm of hardwood.

Maintenance tips

Regularly clean leaves, stagnant water, and dust

Stains and food residue can be cleaned with soapy water and a sponge

In spring and at the end of summer, wash your chairs, let them dry completely, then apply a thin layer of oil (check the weather: no rain for the following 24 hours)

If the wood swells or becomes rough after exposure to rain, lightly sand with fine sandpaper then oil to restore the initial appearance

The oil protects the furniture from stains, pollution, bad weather, and mold. Without biannual maintenance, the eucalyptus naturally ages by adopting a beautiful silver patina, but then loses its protection.
